Minnesota led 62-59 with less than two minutes to play against the Huskers and Powell nailed a clutch 3-pointer to provide the exclamation point as the lead grew to six.

Powell equaled her career high Sunday in a 73-71, double overtime win over Rutgers with 19 points. Playing over 47 minutes, Powell was a perfect 10-of-10 at the free throw line and had five rebounds with four assists. Powell's 10-for-10 performance marked the most makes without a miss at the line this season by a Gopher.

It's the first Freshman of the Week honor of Powell's career. With fellow freshman Sara Scalia winning twice already, this is just the second time in program history that multiple Gophers have won Freshman of the Week accolades in one season since the award was introduced in 2009-10. It also happened in 2011-12 with Kayla Hirt and Mikayla Bailey.

Bello recorded double-doubles in all three games last week, averaging 14.3 points, 15.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. She now has double-doubles in four of her last five games and has 10 or more rebounds in five straight contests. She has 11 double-doubles this year and 26 in her career.

It tied for the fifth most rebounds in a game in program history and tied for 10th most in Big Ten annals. It was the highest rebound total for a Gopher since Amanda Zahui B. also had 22 against DePaul in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament.

Offensively, she was 15-of-19 at the free throw line, recording the second most free throw attempts in program history and tying for the second most makes. Both numbers were also the most by a Big Ten player this year. Playing over 46 minutes against the Scarlet Knights, Bello also blocked four shots, tied a career high with three assists, recorded two steals and attempted the first two 3-pointers of her career in her 113th game.
