Gophers Set to Take On Field at Rich Harvest Farms

MINNEAPOLIS - After a two week hiatus, the Minnesota men's golf team returns to action at this weekend's Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate on Oct. 2-4.
The three-day event will take place at Rich Harvest Farm in Sugar Grove, Ill., which is playing as a par-72 at 7,200 yards. Saturday and Sunday will consist of 18 holes, with groups teeing off both the front and back nine with play starting at 9:00 a.m. CT. Monday will have a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. CT.
Minnesota is one of twelve teams in the field along with host-Northern Illinois, Arkansas State, James Madison, Kansas State, Marquette, Miami University, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Purdue and Wisconsin. Aurora University will have individuals compete, but will not be in the team standings.
Representing the Maroon and Gold at the tournament will be Antoine Sale, Harrison Arnold, Lincoln Johnson, Ben Warian and Bennett Swavely. Harry Plowman-Ollington will compete as an individual.
In the most recent action at the Gopher Invitational, Johnson was the top finisher for the Gophers in a tie for 31st (74-70-73--217). Arnold followed closely behind at 6-over par and finished in a tie for 41st (74-70-77-221). Warian led the pack of the individual competitors as he tied for 31st with a 4-over total of 217 (73-73-71). Swavely came in tied for 48th overall with a 223 (75-72-76).
