They moved up one spot from the week prior's rankings, giving them their highest rank since the finale of the 2020-21 season where they finished fifth in the nation.

The men's team moved up in the regional rankings as well, coming in at No. 4 in the Midwest region and breaking back into the top four for the second time this season.

B1G WEEKLY HONORS
Over the course of the 2021 season, Bethany Hasz has earned a pair of Big Ten Conference Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week awards, the most recent of which came following her tenth place finish at the Joe Piane Invite at the beginning of the month. Hasz's performance in the 5k race marked a personal best performance at 16:31.6.

Hasz had previously won the same award following her third place finish in the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational at Penn State earlier in the season. The pair of honors brought her career Big Ten weekly award total up to six, three of which have come through cross country.

LAST TIME OUT
The last time the Minnesota men saw action was at Minnesota's own Roy Griak Invitational, where the Gophers earned a fourth place team finish behind top-20 finishes from Alec Basten, Jack Manderscheid and Matt Wilkinson.

The women's squad saw action a bit more recently, having competed at Notre Dame's Joe Piane Invitational in early October. There, Minnesota earned a fifth place team finish behind a pair of top-15 finishes from sisters Bethany and Megan Hasz.
