MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota cross country programs took on Wisconsin's Nuttycombe Invitational this Friday, with the women bringing home a fourth place team finish and the men taking 15th.
"Both teams really did great today," said head coach Sarah Hopkins. "It's such a weird feel because this meet is so stacked, that being top-20 on either side is really great. Overall, I think the women didn't need to do as much today, and they ran great and finished right where we thought they would be. The men had a lot to accomplish today, and they absolutely did. That was great to see."

Led by sixth place finisher Bethany Hasz (20:09.5), the Gopher women put together a solid performance in the women's Championship six-kilometer race to finish fourth overall with 188 team points.
