The Border Battle has now moved to Lake Mendota in Madison on Saturday.
UPDATE: Due to a changing wind forecast, Wisconsin has moved this weekend's scrimmage back to Lake Mendota in Madison.
MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota rowing program closes out the fall schedule this weekend with a scrimmage against Wisconsin on Saturday, Nov. 6. The Badgers will host the event at Lake Mendota in Madison with the competition slated to begin at 11:30 a.m. CT.

Gophers Name Trio of Captains
The University of Minnesota rowing program and head coach Alicea Strodel have announced team captains for the 2021-22 season with Lindsay Eliasen, Gabby Mullally and Casey Wempner leading the Maroon & Gold. Eliasen and Mullally return as captains for the second-straight year while Wempner joins the leadership group this year.
Looking Back at Fall 2020
Minnesota opened the fall season with a trio of wins at the Head of the Mississippi in early October, sweeping the Women's Collegiate 4+, the Women's Collegiate 8+ and the Women's Collegiate Freshman 8+ races on the Mississippi River. The First Varsity Eight boat later added a 15th-place finish in the Women's Championship Eights race at the Head of the Mississippi.
Looking Ahead to Spring 2021
Minnesota will return to the water with five events in Spring 2021 starting with a dual against SMU in Dallas on Wednesday, March 23 before the B1G Invitational on Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16 in Sarasota, Fla. The Maroon & Gold then compete against Iowa, Oregon State, USC and Wisconsin in Iowa City on Saturday, April 30 before the Big Ten championships on Sunday, May 15 in Indianapolis. The NCAA championships are scheduled for May 27-29 in Sarasota, Fla.
