Lincoln, Neb. - The Gophers struggled to find their footing in doubles and singles in the loss. Minnesota (3-7) is 0-2 against ranked opponents while Nebraska (8-3) picks up their eighth straight win over unranked opponents.
Doubles Play
The Cornhuskers took care of business in doubles play. The pairing of Kristina Novak & Maja Makoric took down Dalila Said & Rachel Hanford 6-3. Claire Reifeis & Hayley Haakenstad defeated Zeyneb Sarioglan & River Hart to clinch the doubles point for Nebraska.
Singles Play
Nebraska won five out of six singles matches en route to the 6-1 victory. Ekin Ercetin was the sole Gopher to win as she took down Isa Adrover Gallego in straight sets. Lucia de Santa Ana, Zeyneb Sarioglan and Juliet Zhang all took their singles matches to third sets, but were defeated.
