Minnesota finished second in each of its three races on Saturday at Lake Lemon.
Competing against No. 10 Indiana and Michigan State, Minnesota recorded runner-up finishes behind the Hoosiers in each of their three races at Lake Lemon. Indiana totaled 54 team points between the three scored races while Minnesota accrued 36 points and Michigan State followed in third with 18 points.
"Before the start of the season we chatted with the student-athletes about the characteristics we wanted our team to embody this spring. There were 3-Cs: confidence, consistency and competitiveness. Over the course of this season we were able to showcase all of those qualities. The consistency of execution at training, the confidence we are showing up to the race course with, and the willingness to compete hard with the best teams in the country whether our bow ball is ahead or behind is all encouraging," Minnesota Head Coach Alicea Strodel said. "Our races over the last seven weeks have prepared us well as we embark on the championship segment of our season. And though today we were a little flat against IU and MSU, we learned a lot and will continue improve upon it going forward. Learn, grow, row."
