QUOTES FROM COACH
"Before the start of the season we chatted with the student-athletes about the characteristics we wanted our team to embody this spring. There were 3-Cs: confidence, consistency and competitiveness. Over the course of this season we were able to showcase all of those qualities. The consistency of execution at training, the confidence we are showing up to the race course with, and the willingness to compete hard with the best teams in the country whether our bow ball is ahead or behind is all encouraging," Minnesota Head Coach Alicea Strodel said. "Our races over the last seven weeks have prepared us well as we embark on the championship segment of our season. Learn, grow, row."
SUCCESS OFF THE WATER
Minnesota is coming off of one of its best semesters ever in the classroom as the Gophers set a new program record with a 3.42 team cumulative grade point average while its 3.58 team term grade point average was second in program history behind last spring's score. As a department, the University of Minnesota set a new school record with a 3.41 cumulative grade point average as the Gophers increased the statistic for the sixth-straight semester.
