QUICK KICKS: PURDUE
Minnesota returns to Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium one last time to close out the 2022 home season against Purdue. Thursday's match is the 24th all-time meeting between the programs with the Gophers leading the Boilermakers 8-1 in their last nine meetings. Purdue looks to pick up its first conference win of the season over the Maroon and Gold. The Gophers are 5-3 at ELR this season.

QUICK KICKS: ILLINOIS
The Gophers look to continue their undefeated road streak with a win over the Fighting Illini on Sunday in the Big Ten season finale. Before returning to Champaign, Illinois will face Wisconsin on Thursday in a crucial conference match up. Minnesota and Illinois share a 7-7-2 record, as the Gophers have the upper hand with a 3-4-1 conference record compared to Illinois who is 2-5-1 in Big Ten play.

TOP DRAWER SOCCER TEAM OF THE WEEK
Division III graduate transfer, Gabbie Cesarone, was named to Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week. Cesarone scored the game-tying goal against No. 8 Rutgers and the game-winner over Maryland. The defender leads Minnesota in points, goals, and game-winning goals.

WHAT'S ON THE LINE?
Minnesota sits at eighth in the Big Ten conference standings with 10 points. With a win over Purdue on Thursday and a loss or tie by Illinois, the Gophers will secure a spot in the conference tournament.

With a tie or loss against the Boilermakers, Minnesota will need to clinch three points against Illinois and rely on Iowa to lose or tie at least one of its final two matches for the Gophers to secure a spot in the conference tournament.

FOUR POINTS CLINCHED
In a crucial four-point weekend, the Golden Gophers traveled out east to compete against top-ranked Rutgers and Maryland.

Against the Scarlet Knights, Minnesota came back twice scoring two game-tying goals from Sophia Boman and Cesarone. The tie marks the Golden Gophers first result against a top ten opponent since beating No. 4 Penn State in 2015.

The Maroon and Gold continued on the road to defeat the Terrapins, 2-1. Sophia Romine got Minnesota on the board first, but Maryland quickly tied things up. Scoring her second goal of the weekend, Cesarone finished her fourth game winner with 15 seconds remaining in the first half to seal the win.

HOME SWEET HOME
Minnesota has held its own while playing on its home turf. Offensively, the Gophers have outshot their opponents on goal 49-29 at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium.

Ranked 11th in the NCAA for drawing corner kicks, averaging 7.19 per game, Minnesota has proven to be dangerous on set pieces. Nine of its 24 goals have been off corner kicks.

FACING RANKED FOES

Over the weekend, Minnesota tied No. 8 Rutgers. So far this season, they've competed against No. 23 Wisconsin, No. 9 Northwestern and No. 7 TCU. Last Thursday's tie is their first result against a top 25 team this season, and first against a top 10 opponent since 2015.

The Gophers have led ranked opponents for 71 minutes and have outshot them 39-36.
