MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Golden Gophers (12-27, 2-10 Big Ten) are set to take on the Michigan State Spartans (18-21, 3-9 Big Ten) this weekend on the road. The Spartans sit in 11th place in the Big Ten, compared to 13th place for the Gophers. Both clubs are looking to pick up a few wins this weekend and get back in the race for a top-eight seed and a potential trip to the Big Ten tournament. The two teams will play at 5:35 p.m. Friday followed by Saturday at 3:05 p.m. and Sunday at 12:05 p.m. All games will be streamed on B1G+.
SCOUTING MICHIGANÂ STATE
-Michigan State is led by 14th-year head coach Jake Boss, who holds a 377-323 (.541) record in his time in charge. He's led the team to seven 30-win seasons, including the 2011 Big Ten Championship and 2012 NCAA Tournament.
