Minnesota to Travel to Bloomington for Indiana Invitational

The University of Minnesota women's golf team will compete in the Indiana Invitational beginning on Saturday morning. The two-day event will be completed on Saturday and Sunday at the Pfau Golf Course in Bloomington, Ind.
The event will follow a 54-hole invitational format. Teams will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. The course is set at 6,133 yards with a par 72. There will be a shotgun start on Saturday and Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. CT.

LINEUP
The Gophers will send out a lineup of senior Joanne Free, senior Geraldine Wong, junior Grace Curran, junior Emma Carpenter, junior Leah Herzog and freshman Alexis McMurray.
FIELD
The tournament will feature 11 teams, including three top-60 ranked programs. Joining the Gophers will be No. 18 Michigan, No. 43 Purdue, No. 58 Augusta, IUPUI, Indiana, Old Dominion, Toledo, UAB, Wisconsin, University of Illinois - Chicago.
THE COURSE
The Pfau Golf Course, located on Indiana University's campus in Bloomington, Ind., was designed by highly-acclaimed architect Steve Smyers and Fuzzy Zoeller. The course offers a unique layout set in southern Indiana. Smyers considered the area's natural topography in designing the course, highlighting a combination of forest, open space and forest edges that result in a wonderful golfing test.
LOOKING FORWARD
After the Indiana Invitational, the Maroon and Gold will travel to Pittsburg, Pa. to wrap up their season at the Big Ten Championship on April 22-24.
