Former Gopher Named to Team USA for Pan American Games

Miller lands coveted international spot
MINNEAPOLIS - Lauren Miller, a former member of the Minnesota rowing team, earned a coveted spot on Team USA for the 2023 Pan American Games as part of USRowing. The five-day regatta will take place Oct. 21-25 at Laguna Grande in San Pedro de la Paz, Chile.
Miller is one of 10 females to be named to Team USA and will be part of the women's four boat, a familiar spot for her. Over the summer, she traveled to Chile, for the Pan American Games Qualification Regatta and was a member of the women's four that won a silver medal and secured a spot in the 2023 Pan American Games.
A native of St. Cloud, Minn., Miller began her career with the Golden Gophers on the novice team and worked her way up to a spot on a varsity boat. She graduated from Minnesota in 2018 and eventually found her way back to campus as a coach with the novice team for three years.
The United States will have 15 boats competing, including the men's and women's single sculls, double sculls, lightweight double sculls, quadruple sculls, pair, four, and eight, as well as a mixed eight.
