Gophers Move Up Leaderboard After Round Two of Blessings Collegiate Invitational

Grace Curran's even-par 72 led the way for Minnesota
FAYETTEVILLE, AR. - The University of Minnesota showed improvement across the board as they finished round two of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. The team moved up one spot and is currently in ninth with a two-round score of 312-298=610 (+34). Minnesota's round was highlighted by Grace Curran's even-par 72.
Arkansas (-11) holds a 14-stroke lead over Mississippi State heading into tomorrow's final round.

"This team made a move today and I am really impressed with their response when things were not going well on the course. We continued to struggle early today but something switched and the momentum swung our way" said head coach Rhyll Brinsmead. "We played our second nine holes 4-under-par and moved ahead of Kentucky. Grace's bounce back after a really tough day was amazing to watch. Excited to get back out there tomorrow."

Megan Furtney leads the Gophers individually in a tie for 30th. The graduate shot a 3-over-par 75 and has a two-day score of 76-75=151 (+7).
Hailey Loh notched three birdies and nine pars in round two. Her score of 77-75=152 (+8) has her in a tie for 31st.
Isabella McCauley finished even par on the back nine today. She has a two-day score of 77-76=153 (+9) and is tied for 33rd.
Grace Curran improved by ten strokes between rounds one and two. She is in solo 37th with a two-round score of 82-72=154 (+10).
Sara Tomaszewski ended her round with back-to-back birdies finishing 1-under-par in the final nine holes. Tomaszewski's 84-76=160 (+16) has her tied for 45th.
