Minnesota Heads to Arizona to Compete in Westbrook Invitational

Gophers return to competition after a successful Nexus Collegiate
MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota women's golf team is set to compete at the Westbrook Invitational for the second year in a row. The tournament is hosted by the University of Wisconsin and will take place Feb. 26 - 27 in just outside of Phoenix at Westbrook Village Golf Club.
Round one will begin Sunday, Feb. 26, with a 9:30 a.m.CT shotgun start followed immediately by round two. The final round starts on Monday at 9:30 a.m. CT.

"We're excited to be back at Westbrook again," said head coach Rhyll Brinsmead. "The course sets up well for our team and we're eager to get back out competing. This is a really solid field and will again challenge us competitively."
Lineup:
The five Gophers competing in the event are freshman Luisamariana Mesones, freshman Isabella McCauley, senior Emma Carpenter, senior Grace Curran and senior Leah Herzog.
The Field:
Meeting the Gophers in Arizona are No. 36 Charleston, No. 44 Denver, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas St., Missouri, No. 49 Nebraska, No. 24 Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn St., Rutgers, and UNLV.
The Course:
Teams will compete at the Westbrook Village Golf Club - Vistas Course in Peoria, Arizona. The par-72 course plays 6,248 yards.
Looking Ahead:
Following the Westbrook invitational, the Gophers will head to Augusta, Ga., for the March 11-12 Valspar Augusta Invitational.
