MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Autumn Pease was dealing on Friday, tossing a three-hit shutout to lead the Minnesota Golden Gophers over the North Dakota State Bison 2-0.

Pease (6-3) went the distance for Minnesota (12-9), giving up three hits, walking none and striking out nine.

In the batter's box, the Golden Gophers were led by sophomore Kayla Chavez, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a double and an RBI. Junior Maddy Ehlke compiled a noteworthy day at the dish as well, going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Graduate Natalie DenHartog also contributed for Minnesota, putting together one hit in three trips to the plate while adding a double.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gophers took the lead for good in the fourth, scoring for the first time in the inning. Minnesota got on the board thanks to Ehlke's RBI double with two outs.

The Gophers then tacked on a run in the sixth inning to complete their scoring in the ballgame. That run scored on Chavez's RBI double.
