No. 57 Gophers to compete against seven ranked teams
MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota women's golf team will travel to Augusta, Ga., to compete in the Valspar Augusta Invitational. This 14-team event hosted by Augusta University features eight ranked teams. Competition will take place March 11-12 at the Forest Hills Golf Course.
The two-day, 54-hole event begins on Saturday with a shotgun start at 6:45 a.m., as the first and second rounds will be played on the same day. The third and final round is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. on Sunday..

"We've had a really solid week of practice in Georgia during spring break, with an emphasis on our putting as we will be on Bermuda grass," said head coach Rhyll Brinsmead. "We're feeling ready to compete again and look forward to the challenge of another very deep field."
Lineup:
The five gophers competing in Augusta are freshman Luismariana Mesones, freshman Isabella McCauley, senior Emma Carpenter, senior Grace Curran and senior Leah Herzog.
The Field:
The 57th ranked Gophers will be up against Augusta, No. 47 Alabama, Coastal Carolina, No. 24 Duke, No. 21 Florida, No. 12 Florida State, Furman, Georgia Southern, No. 16 Oklahoma State, No. 18 Ole Miss, South Florida, Virginia Tech, and No. 2 Wake Forest

Teams will compete at the par-72 Forest Hills Golf Course in Augusta, Ga.
Looking Ahead:
After playing in Georgia, the Gophers will head to Chattanooga, Tenn. for the Chattanooga Classic on April. 2-3.
