Columbus, Ohio. – The University of Minnesota tennis program (5-9 overall, 0-3 Big Ten) fell 4-0 to No. 9 Ohio State (10-5 overall, 3-0 Big Ten) Sunday morning at Ty Tucker Tennis Center.
Ohio State took a 1-0 lead in the match after Buckeyes pairing Shelly Bereznyak and Isabelle Boulais defeated Gophers duo Zeyneb Sarioglan and Aiva Schmitz 2-6, in the second position.
In singles play, Ohio State earned points at the fifth and sixth positions as Minnesota did not have enough competitors to field the positions. In the second position, Maroon and Gold competitor Aiva Schmitz lost 3-6, 0-6 to Ohio State's Danielle Willson, claiming the final point of the match.
