Minnesota Continues Big Ten Play in Michigan

The Golden Gophers take to the road to compete against the Michigan State Spartans on March 25 in East Lansing, MI., and the Michigan Wolverines on March 26 in Ann Arbor, MI.
The University of Minnesota tennis program (5-9 overall, 0-3 Big Ten) are facing two Big Ten rivals this weekend, competing versus Michigan State at 10 a.m. CT on March 25 at MSU Indoor Tennis Center, and No. 3 Michigan at 11 a.m. CT on March 26 at Varsity Tennis Center.
The Competition
The Spartans are 7-7 overall and 0-3 in the Big Ten, while the Spartans are 11-3 overall on the season and 3-0 in the conference.
Michigan State is coming in on a three-match losing streak since March 11, dropping to Michigan (4-0), Iowa (4-1) and Nebraska (4-2), while Michigan's most recent matchup was a 4-1 loss to Florida on March 22.
All-Time History
The Maroon and Gold met the Spartans and Wolverines for the first time during the 1979-80 season, when the Gophers defeated the Spartans, 7-2 and conquered the Wolverines 6-3. Over the years, Minnesota is 30-16 overall versus Michigan State and 15-35 overall against Michigan.
