GAME ONE
EVANSTON, Ill. - Senior Amani Bradley went 1-for-2 with a double for the Minnesota Golden Gophers in a 9-1 loss to the No. 21/24 Northwestern Wildcats on Sunday.
Junior Jacie Hambrick (6-5) started and took the loss in the circle for Minnesota (19-12, 0-2 Big Ten).
At the plate, the Golden Gophers were led by Bradley, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Gophers got on the scoreboard first, starting in the second inning. Bradley came across to score the lone run of the inning for Minnesota and get them on the board. The Maroon and Gold were unable to hold the lead, as Northwestern scored nine times over the remaining three innings to grab the 9-1 win.

In addition to her nine strikeouts, Pease (12-5) went five innings, giving up five runs, two earned, on four hits and walking three for Minnesota (19-13, 0-3 Big Ten). Senior Bri Enter also made an impact in the circle for the Golden Gophers, throwing one shutout inning while allowing no hits, with one walk and one strikeout.
Offensively, the Golden Gophers were led by freshman Jess Oakland, who went 2-for-2 on the day with a home run, a walk and an RBI.
