The Golden Gophers fell 4-0 to the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines Sunday afternoon at Varsity Tennis Center.

Ann Arbor, Mich. – The University of Minnesota tennis program (5-11 overall, 0-5 Big Ten) dropped 4-0 to No. 3 Michigan (13-3 overall, 5-0 Big Ten) at Varsity Tennis Center on Sunday, March 26.

Michigan took a 1-0 lead in the match after Wolverine's duo Julia Fliegner and  Lily Jones defeated Maroon and Gold pairing Anet Koskel and Aiva Schmitz 6-0, in the second position.

In singles play, Michigan earned points at the fifth and sixth positions as Minnesota did not have enough competitors to field the positions. In the third position, Aiva Schmitz lost 0-6, 0-6 to Wolverine's player Andrea Cerdan to claim the final point of the match.
