Minnesota Men's Track and Field Ranked No. 1 for First Time in School History

MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota men's track and field team reached the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) No. 1 ranking for the first time in school history, the organization announced on Monday afternoon.
The Golden Gophers have four different individuals ranked No. 1 in their respective events. Those individuals are Kion Benjamin (100m), Devin Augustine (200m), Matthew Wilkinson (3000m Steeplechase) and Isaiah Schafer (Shot Put). Minnesota also has two others ranked inside the top three in their events with Kostas Zaltos (Hammer Throw) and Jak Urlacher (Pole Vault). For a full list of individual rankings, click here.
