Gophers Return to Action at the Chattanooga Classic

No. 58 Minnesota to compete again after a 21 day break
MINNEAPOLIS -Ā The University of Minnesota women's golf team is set to compete again after a three-week break at the Chattanooga Classic. This 17-team tournament is hosted by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and is a first-time tournament for the Gophers. Teams will be competing at the Council Fire Golf Course in Chattanooga, Tennessee between April 2-4.
Tee times for rounds one and two on April 2-3 will begin at 9 a.m. CT. Tuesday's final round will be a shotgun start, also at 9 a.m. CT.

"We are really excited to be back on the road, this team loves to compete," said head coach Rhyll Brinsmead. "We've had some time to reset and recharge and we're all feeling ready for this next event. Council Fire will be a great challenge and I can't wait to get back at it."
Lineup:
It's a familiar look for the Gophers, as the five competing in the event are freshman Isabella McCauley, freshman Luisamariana Mesones, senior Emma Carpenter, senior Grace Curran, and senior Leah Herzog.
The Field:
The 58th-ranked Gophers will be competing against Augusta, No. 63 Campbell, Central Arkansas, Chattanooga, No. 79 Colorado State, ETSU, No. 98 Grand Canyon, Indiana, Jacksonville, Middle Tennessee, No. 94 Notre Dame, No. 70 Old Dominion, No. 57 USF, No. 28 SMU, No. 93 UTSA, No 76 Xavier, and No. 75 Yale.
The Course:
Competition will be held at the Council Fire Golf Club in Chattanooga, TN. The Bob Cupp designed par-72 course plays 6,234 yards and is the former home to a tournament on the PGA tour between 1986-1992.
