Freshman Breezy Burnett hit the walk-off to score Sydney Strelow in the bottom of the eighth

In addition to her nine strikeouts, Pease (26-6) threw eight innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on four hits and walking one for Minnesota (37-16).

In the batter's box, the Golden Gophers were paced by sophomore Kayla Chavez, who went 2-for-4 on the day with a home run and an RBI. Freshman Breezy Burnett furnished a standout performance at the plate as well, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Senior Natalie DenHartog also chipped in for Minnesota, putting together one hit in four trips to the plate while adding an RBI.
