Pease Pitches Shutout Win on Senior Day

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Senior Autumn Pease was dealing on Sunday, tossing a five-hit shutout to lead the Minnesota Golden Gophers over the Michigan Wolverines 2-0.
Pease (25-6) went the distance for Minnesota (36-16, 18-6 Big Ten), giving up five hits, walking none and striking out seven.
Senior Amani Bradley led the way offensively for the Golden Gophers, going 3-for-3 in the ballgame with a double and an RBI. Freshman Jess Oakland provided a standout performance as well, going 1-for-3 with an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Gophers took the lead for good in the first, scoring for the first time in the inning. Minnesota got an RBI single from Oakland, scoring Bradley from second base.
The Golden Gophers then tacked on a run in the fifth inning to complete their scoring in the ballgame. That run came across on an RBI single off the bat of Bradley.
