Gophers Shut Out Beavers on the Road

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The University of Minnesota women's hockey team (17-5-1) skated to a 2-0 win over Bemidji State (3-19-1) at the Sanford Center on Friday evening.
Josefin Bouveng and Allie Franco, who notched her first goal of the season, provided the game's only two goals in the first period. Madison Kaiser, Peyton Hemp, Audrey Wethington and Emma Kreisz each tallied an assist.
Fifth-year goaltender Lucy Morgan was perfect throughout the contest, stopping all 24 shots for her second shutout in Maroon and Gold. The Gophers outshot the Beavers 38-24.
