Gophers Head West For Alister Mackenzie Invitational Monday

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota Men's golf team will travel to Fairfax, Calif., to compete in the Alister Mackenzie Invitational.
The two-day, 54-hole stroke play tournament is hosted by the University of California-Berkeley and will take place Monday and Tuesday at The Meadow Club.

The Lineup:
The Maroon and Gold will be represented by seniors Bennett Swavely and Eduardo Galdos, junior Cormac Sharpe, and freshmen Chun-Ta Wu and Jack Crousore.
The Field:
The Gophers will be competing against host-Cal-Berkeley, Cal-Poly, UC-Davis, UC-Santa Barbara, Fresno State, Hawaii, Nevada, Pacific, Saint Mary's, San Diego, San Jose State, Santa Clara, South Dakota State, and UTEP.
Last Time Out:
The Gophers finished in last week's Badger Invitational. Juniors Mason Roloff (81-74-73–228), and Jack Wetzel (78-71-74–223), and sophomore Kyler Schwamb (81-76-86–243) also competed in the inaugural Tommie Invitational in Stillwater, Minn. Junior Cormac Sharpe led the Maroon and Gold in Madison with a 17th-place finish.
