Wang, Johnson Each Earn Big Ten Weekly Awards

MINNEAPOLIS - For the fourth time this season, multiple University of Minnesota swimming and diving student-athletes have earned Big Ten weekly honors. After outstanding performances at Wisconsin last weekend, YuTong Wang has earned Big Ten Men's Diver of the Week and Jacob Johnson earned Big Ten Men's Freshman of the Week.

This week marks YuTong Wang's third Diver of the Week honor this season. Against the Badgers, Wang earned a win in both the 1-meter with a score of 357.15, and the 3-meter with a score of 406.13.

Johnson also picked up his third Freshman of the Week honor this season after another record-breaking performance. Johnson broke his own school record in the 200 fly with a time of 1:41.70. He also picked up a victory in the 100 fly with a time of 46.18.

The men's team is off from competition until the Minnesota Invitational on Dec. 4-7. The Gopher women's team is back in action on Friday, Nov. 8 against Iowa at home.
