Warian Leads Gophers After Day One of Tiger Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS - Senior Ben Warian leads the University of Minnesota men's golf team after 36 holes of the Tiger Invitational Monday in Columbia, Mo.Â
The Gophers stand ninth in the team standings at 4-over par (282-290-572).
Central Arkansas leads the 18-team field after the first 36 holes with a score of 15-under par.Â

After carding a 5-under 66 in his first round, Warian followed with 1-over 72 Monday afternoon. He tallied 10 birdies through the first 36 holes of the tournament. The Gopher senior stands in a tie for seventh with a score of 4-under par.Â
After a bogey-free 67 in his first round, graduate senior Jacob Pedersen sits in a tie for 21st with a score of 1-under par after the first 36 holes. Pedersen ended his day with seven birdies.
Making his spring debut and competing as an individual, junior Eduardo Galdos tallied consecutive rounds of 72. Galdos sits tied for 39th place after the first 36 holes with a score of 2-over par.Â
Sophomores Mason Roloff and Cormac Sharpe both are tied for 57th with a score of 5-over par.Â
