McCauley Ready for NCAA Championship

MINNEAPOLIS -- Sophomore Isabella McCauley (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) is set to represent the University of Minnesota women's golf team in the NCAA Championship for the second time in her Gopher career. McCauley is the first Gopher to compete in back-to-back NCAA Championships since 1987-88.
The competition is hosted by University of Texas and will take place at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. Competition begins Friday, May 17, with McCauley teeing off at 4:12 p.m. CT. The competition concludes on May 22.
Stanford's Rose Zhang is the defending individual champion.

The Competition:
The championship field consists of 30 teams and six individuals. In the finals, all 30 teams and six individuals will complete 54 holes of stroke play. Following 54 holes of play, the top 15 teams along with the top nine individuals not on an advancing team will complete an additional day of stroke play. This will determine the 72-hole stroke-play individual champion and top eight teams for match-play.
The Course:
Omni La Costa Resort & Spa course is a par-72 course that plays 6,330.
Looking Ahead:
Round one begins Friday, May 17th with tee times beginning at 8:40 a.m. CT. The final round of individual play will be streamed on The Golf Channel at 12:30 p.m. CT on May 20.
