MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota women's golf team has hit the road for the Mary Fossum Invitational hosted by Big Ten foe Michigan State. The competition will be held at the Forest Akers West Golf Course from Sunday, Sept. 22 to Monday, Sept. 23.
The first two rounds of the competition will take place Sunday, Sept. 22 with a 7:30 a.m. CT shotgun start. The final round will take place Monday, Sept. 23. Live-scoring can be found at golfstat.com.
Lineup:
The Gopher lineup will feature junior Isabella McCauley, freshman Reese McCauley, sophomores Mariana Mesones and Sara Tomaszewski, and junior Ruby Chi.
The Field:
The 14 teams teeing off against Minnesota are Delaware, Florida, Florida International, Grand Valley State, Kennesaw State, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame, Oakland, Ole Miss, Purdue, and Toledo.
The Course:
The Forest Akers West Golf Course plays as a par 72 and measures at 6,368 yards. The course is the site of a 2024 NCAA Regional and is considered one of the premier collegiate golf courses in the country.
