LAST TIME OUT
The University of Minnesota's men captured a third-place finish while the women's program finished eighth at the 46th Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational at Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course in Illinois on October 3. Redshirt sophomore Aidan Jones (23:41.14) was Minnesota's top men's runner in 14th overall while Nadia Phillips (20:21.09) was first to cross for the women in 29th.

Jones was the top finisher among Minnesota's scoring lineup (14-21-22-26-28) in a time of 23:51.14, which was about 25 seconds faster than Jones ran at the same event in 2024. Jones' 14th-place finish improved him from 60th in Chicago a season ago. Minnesota's women finished eighth overall as a team (200 points), finishing ahead of three USTFCCCA ranked opponents in No. 18 UNC, No. 7 Providence and No. 21 Wisconsin. For the first time in her Minnesota career, Phillips led Minnesota's lineup at a cross country meet. Phillips' place of 29th overall is her best career finish away from Minneapolis in her career.

Both the men's and women's cross country teams are receiving votes in the latest USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll. In the Midwest Regional Rankings the Maroon and Gold sit fifth on the women's side and sixth on the men's side.
