Maroon and Gold Finish Day Two of Marquette Intercollegiate

HARTFORD, Wis. - The University of Minnesota men's golf team finished the second round of the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills Golf Course on Monday.
The Golden Gophers finished in eighth place with a score of 3-over-par (291) on the day. The team moved up five spots on the leaderboard with an overall score of 34-over-par after finishing in 13th place yesterday. The five players in team competition for the Maroon and Gold combined for 12 birdies with just two bogeys throughout the back nine.
Notable Performances:
Senior Jack Wetzel continues to lead the team with a score of 3-over-par, sitting fifth among all golfers. He shot even (72) during the second round with four birdies, including three on the front nine.
Sophomore Jack Crousore tied with Wetzel on the day by carding an even par (72) round. His two birdies helped maintain his overall score of 11-over-par throughout 36 holes of golf.
Freshman Torger Ohe finished 1-over-par (73) in the second round. He tallied five birdies, totaling six throughout the two days.
Sophomore Chun-Ta Wu posted a score of 2-over-par (74). He picked up five birdies and zero bogies to conclude the back nine.
