Minnesota Wraps Up Day One in Hartford

HARTFORD, Wis. - The Minnesota men's golf team concluded the first round of the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills Golf Course in Hartford, Wis., Sunday.
The Golden Gophers finished in 13th place with a score of 31-over-par on the day.
Notable Performances:
Senior Jack Wetzel led the team with a score of 3-over-par (75). He shot par or better on 14 of the 18 holes played today. His score was good enough to be tied for sixth place among all players.
Sophomore Chun-Ta Wu carded a score of 7-over-par (79). He tallied three birdies, including two on the front nine.
Freshman Torger Ohe finished the first round at 10-over-par (82). He picked up a birdie on the sixth hole to conclude the front nine with a score of 2-over-par.
