  • As a team, the Maroon and Gold shot 53.8% while holding the Jaspers to 18.8%. Notably, Minnesota's defense limited Manhattan to zero 3-pointers, marking the first time an opponent didn't make a single 3-pointer in the Plitzuweit era.
  • The win also marked back-to-back games in which Minnesota scored 90 or more points while committing fewer than 10 turnovers in each.

  • The series is also even at 2-2 for both teams on the road and at home.
  • The Gophers and Golden Eagles are meeting for the first time in 28 seasons; their last matchup was Dec. 2, 1997.
  • Marquette holds a two-game win streak over Minnesota. The Golden Eagles previously defeated the Gophers in 1997 and on Dec. 6, 1996.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES

  • Consuegra guided Marquette to a 21-win season in 2024-25 and earned Big East Co-Coach of the Year honors in her first year.
  • Last season, Marquette finished fourth in the BIG EAST after being picked 10th in the preseason coaches poll. The Golden Eagles advanced to the second round of the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament.
