Gophers Host Ducks in Annual Pink Game

It's the first meeting between Minnesota and Oregon as Big Ten opponents
MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota women's basketball team (19-7, 7-7 B1G) returns to Williams Arena on Sunday to host Oregon (17-8, 8-6 B1G). Tip off is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT and can be seen on B1G+ while Justin Gaard and Lynnette Sjoquist will broadcast the game live on KFAN (100.3 FM).

- Minnesota set a program record with 12 nonconference wins, surpassing the previous high of 11 set in seven different seasons, most recently in 2018-19.
- The Maroon & Gold's game against Ohio State marked the third time that five players have scored in double digits, (Montana, Illinois, Ohio State).

- Junior forward Mallory Heyer became the first Gopher since the 2022-23 season to record back-to-back double-doubles. Against the Hawkeyes, Heyer collected 10 points and 10 rebounds. She followed up against the Hoosiers collecting 10 points and 13 rebounds. Her 13 rebounds are a team high this season. She leads all Gophers with 190 boards and is 12th in the Big Ten.
About the Oregon Game
- Minnesota and Oregon are meeting for the third time, with the Ducks holding a 2-0 advantage in the series that began in 1979. Sunday's game marks the first contest as Big Ten opponents.
- The Gophers and Ducks have only ever met in the postseason. In 1979, the two foes competed in the NWIT and again in the NCAA Tournament Second Round in 2018.
- Oregon's leading scorer this season has been Deja Kelly, who has 259 points on the year and is averaging 10.4 points per game, 4.4 rebounds per game, and is shooting .376.
