It's the 88th meeting between the Big Ten Rivals
MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota women's basketball team (18-5, 6-5 B1G) will host the University of Iowa Hawkeyes (15-7, 5-6 B1G) this Thursday at Williams Arena. The Golden Gophers and Hawkeyes will tip off at 7 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network while Justin Gaard and Lynnette Sjoquist will broadcast it on KFAN+.

- Minnesota and Iowa are meeting for the 88th time, with the Hawkeyes holding a 60-27 advantage in a series that dates back to 1975. Iowa has won the last 10 meetings.
- In the last contest between rivals Minnesota and Iowa, the Maroon and Gold were paced by Amaya Battle's 18 points, four assists, and two steals. Grace Grocholski added 12 points and an assist.

- After securing her second double-double against Wisconsin, junior Mallory Heyer recorded another noteworthy performance against No. 4 USC. The forward had 17 points, seven rebounds, and was 5-for-7 from beyond the arc, shooting 71.4%.
- Senior Sophie Hart recorded her second straight game scoring double-digit points. Against the Trojans, Hart scored a career-high 18 points. She also had eight rebounds and shot 53.3%.
- Junior Amaya Battle ranks in the top 10 in the conference in assists (No. 5, 93) assist/turnover ratio (No. 7, 93/51), and assists per game (No. 10, 4.0).
- Sophomore Grace Grocholski ranks 13th in the Big Ten in three-pointers made per game, averaging 1.83.
- 800: Minnesota is eight wins away from a program record of 800 victories.
- 400: On Jan. 5, 2025, head coach Dawn Plitzuweit secured her 400th career win over Big Ten opponent Illinois.
- 29: The Gophers' NET ranking is No. 29; they've stayed in the top 30 since Dec. 28, 2024.
