STARTING FIVE
• The Golden Gopher men's basketball team returns to Williams Arena to host No. 7 and undefeated Nebraska Cornhuskers Saturday at 11 a.m. Minnesota and Nebraska meet for the 83rd time, dating back to 1902. Minnesota is also 11-12 against the Huskers since they joined the Big Ten in 2012.
• Minnesota is looking to get back into the win column and snap a four-game streak after an 82-74 overtime loss to Ohio State on Tuesday. It was the second-straight overtime loss to the Buckeyes as the 2025 match-up went into double overtime at Williams. Minnesota rallied from an 11-point second-half deficit to force overtime, but fell in overtime, as the Gophers are now 1-2 in the extra stanza this season. Jaylen Crocker-Johnson scored a career-high 26 points, while Cade Tyson had 15 points, and Isaac Asuma and Langston Reynolds had 12.
• Jaylen Crocker-Johnson has established three-straight games of 20 or more points: 20 points against Wisconsin, a career-high eight field goals and five threes for 22 points at Illinois; career-best 26 points at Ohio State. It's the first time in his career for three-straight 20-point games, and the fourth time this year of 20 or more points. Over the course of his career, the junior had two 20-point games at Colorado State last year and now four this season, including 23 points vs. Stanford.
• Cade Tyson has reached double-figures in all 19 games this season and, against USC, added his ninth game with 20-plus points (two with 30-plus). He ranks third in the B1G in scoring with 20.5 points, 23rd nationally. His 389 points also rank second in the B1G and 18th nationally.
• Langston Reynolds is six points away from his 1,000th career point. Reynolds enters the Nebraska game with 994 career points after scoring 789 points with Northern Colorado and now 205 with the Gophers this season.

ABOUT THE HUSKERS
• The Nebraska Cornhuskers remain as one of three teams undefeated this season at 19-0 and 8-0 in the Big Ten this season. The Huskers won the College Basketball Crown last season and hold a 23-game win streak and haven't lost a game since March 9, 2025.
• The Huskers are led by transfer Pryce Sandfort at 17 points and a league-best 41.8 three-point shooting percentage and three-pointers per game. Rienk Mast returned this year from a season-ending injury from last year and averages 14.9 points and six rebounds. Braden Frager averages 12.2 points and shoots a team-best 53.7 percent from the field off the bench, while Jamarques Lawrence averages 10.1 points. Sam Hoiberg leads the team in assists (76) and the Big Ten in steals (37) and assist/turnover ratio, while Berke Buyuktuncel averages 6.1 rebounds and a team-best 17 blocks.
• As a team, the Huskers are averaging 81.2 points, while allowing just 65.4, which ranks third in the conference. They hold the B1G's most three pointers per game (10.9) and are shooting 35.6 from the arc. Nebraska is the best at taking care of the ball, averaging only nine turnovers a game.

ON THE DOCKET
• The Gophers are back on the road for two straight, first to Wisconsin on Jan. 28. The game is an 8 p.m. tip on Big Ten Network and KFAN 100.3 FM with Mike Grimm and Al Nolen.
