Strother was a two-time First Team All-Big Ten honoree and an 11-time All-American during his Minnesota career

Former University of Minnesota men's gymnast Clay Strother is a member of the 2026 College Gymnastics Association Hall of Fame class, announced today by the College Gymnastics Association. 

Strother was a two-time First Team All-Big Ten honoree and an 11-time All-American during his Minnesota career, but he is best known for winning back-to-back national titles in both the pommel horse and floor exercise (2001, 2002). 

After graduating, Strother went on to represent Team USA at the international level. He was inducted into the M Club Hall of Fame in 2016.
