‘U’ Tied for 8th after 36 Holes at Bell Bank “Pay it Forward” Collegiate

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The University of Minnesota women's golf team finished rounds one and two of the Bell Bank "Pay it Forward" Collegiate tied for eighth place Monday. The Maroon and Gold carded a team score of 283 (-1) during round one and 288 (+4) in the second round at the Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
Senior Isabella McCauley leads the Golden Gophers after moving up seven places to close out 36 holes in 19th place. She carded an even day of competition.
Montana State sits in first place with a team score of 277-272–549 (-19) after two rounds.
Notable:
Isabella McCauley closed out the day with a round one 72 (+1), followed by a 1-under-par 70 in round two.
Olivia Deakins carded a 78 (+7) in round one and rebounded with a 70 (-1) in the second round. The senior moved up 21 places to finish the day in 49th place after meeting par 22 times.
Senior Madison Le sits in 43rd place after carding a 72 (+1) in round one and a 75 (+4) in round two. She met par seven times in the second round.
Reese McCauley posted a 4-over-par score after 36 holes highlighted by a 71 (+1) in round one. She completed the second round in 38th place with a 74 (+3).
Junior Luisamariana Mesones carded a 3-over-par 74 in the second round after being disqualified from round one. She had five birdies in the second round and sits in 81st place.
Lauryn Finley closed out the first day of competition in 25th place as an individual. She carded a first round score of 72 (+1) followed by a 71 (E) in the second round.
