Big Tens: finished 21st in the 200 breast (1:58.15), 28th in the 100 breast (54.91) and 34th in the 200 IM (1:49.66)... Purdue/Northwestern Tri-Dual: came in sixth in the 200 breast (1:59.72) and 11th in the 100 breast (55.46)... Pitt Dual: captured fifth in the 200 breast (2:05.09) and seventh in the 100 breast (57.37)... Tampa Dual: got sixth in the 100 breast (58.60) and seventh in the 200 breast (2:12.32)... Minnesota Invite: finished 12th in the 200 breast (2:00.73), 17th in the 100 breast (54.95) and 41st in the 200 IM (1:52.98)... 2019-2023 | UPenn: Ivy League Championships qualifier every year • Swam a personal-best and NCAA B Cut time of 53.23 in the 100 breast in the prelims at the Ivy Championships as a junior • Placed ninth in the 200 breaststroke with a win in the B-Final, timing in at 1:55.75, a new NCAA ‘B’ Cut mark and a season-best time as a senior • Part of the 200 medley relay that set the new program record with a time of 1:25.80 in 2023 • Canadian Trials A finalist • Silver medalist in the 200 Breastroke at the Canadian Nationals.

High School: Attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass. • Multi-Time All American in Swimming • Captain of Water Polo, Swimming, and Volleyball Teams • Set the National High School Record in 200 Medley Relay.

Personal: Son of Kim and Mike Simpson • Parents both played rugby at Bishop's University and played for the Province of Quebec • Sister, Kait, swam at Tulane University • Brother, Scott, swam at Tufts University • Sister, Jillian, played rugby at Bishop's University and is currently on Team Canada in Camogie and Gaelic Football • Hobbies include studying neuroscience and armed conflicts in history, playing guitar, writing critically and watching rugby and hockey.

Why Minnesota? I chose Minnesota because I felt the coaches truly cared about me more than just as a swimmer. I also felt during my visit that the team had a cohesive and supportive culture.
