2010 Season
Indoor: An All-American placed 10th at the NCAA Indoor Championship in the heptathlon with 5,569 points placed third in the heptathlon at the Big Ten Championships with a career-best score of 5,629 points, the No. 5 score in Gopher history an NCAA provisional qualifier in the pole vault placed third in the event at the Big Ten meet (17-0 3/4) won the Snowshoe Open pole vault title with a career-best height of 17-3, No. 8 in school history. Outdoor: Competed in the NCAA Preliminary Meet in the pole vault tied for 22nd place clearing 16-8 3/4 placed third in the Big Ten Championships with a season-best height of 17-0 3/4 earned third varsity letter.
2009 Season:
Indoor: Scored in two events at the Big Ten Championships finished third in the heptathlon with a career-best score of 5,320 points and tied for fifth in the pole vault (16-8 3/4) won two pole vault titles an NCAA provisional qualifier in both the pole vault and heptathlon vaulted in six meets heptathlon runner-up at Jack Johnson Classic. Outdoor: Competed in nine meets in the pole vault cleared a season-best of 17-0 3/4 to tie for sixth at the Drake Relays cleared 16-7 1/4 at the NCAA Midwest Region Championships earned second varsity letter.
2008 Season:
Indoor: Placed in both the pole vault and heptathon at the Big Ten Championships finished third in the pole vault (16-6) and fourth in the heptathlon with a freshman record 5,283 points won the pole vault at the Minnesota Open with a leap of 16-8 3/4, the 10th-best height in school history. Outdoor: Competed in seven meets in the pole vault cleared a career-best height of 17-1, the sixth-best vault in school history, to place eighth in the NCAA Midwest Region Championships finished fourth (16-10 3/4) in the Big Ten meet varsity letter winner.
2007 Season:
Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons.
High School:
A 2006 graduate of Moorhead High School high school coach was Jon Moe placed fifth at the state meet in the 110-meter hurdles competed in the pole vault at the state meet in 2004 and 2005 named all-city for three seasons and all-state for two four-time conference champion holds the school record in the pole vault lettered four years in track named team MVP 2005 Junior Olympics All-American in the pole vault All-State soccer player.

Born March 26, 1988 kinesiology major parents are Karen and Tony Spandl sister Jacenta was a four-time track letter winner for the Gophers enjoys hunting.
