2021 SPRING SEASON
Went 2-6 in singles play and 5-10 in doubles play • Played the majority of the season in the No.2 doubles slot alongside teammates Daniel Martin and Vlad Lobak • Earned his first conference singles win on 3/21 with a 7-6, 7-5 win against Penn State • Went 2-0 in doubles in with Vlad Lobak in a home weekend doubleheader against Purdue and Indiana
2020 FALL SEASON:
*Fall Season was not played due to cicrumstances surrounding COVID-19*
2020 SPRING SEASON:
Completed his first spring duals season with the Gophers by putting up a record of 5-2 in singles play and 3-2 in doubles play • Logged a pivotal 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 singles win against Avi Shugar in the Maroon & Gold’s 4-3 comeback against Alabama • Also captured a key singles win against Auburn’s Spencer Gray by a score of 7-6(7), 6-2 • Helped secure the team’s doubles point by defeating Harvard’s Henry von der Schulenburg and Robert Wrzesinski 6-2 alongside Stefan Milicevic • Season ended on March 12, 2020, when the Big Ten and NCAA announced they were ceasing competitions and championships because of COVID-19 public health concerns.
2019 FALL SEASON:
Capped off his first fall tournament season with the team by putting up a singles record of 8-2 and a doubles record of 4-3 • Earned his first career singles victory with the Maroon & Gold by defeating Creighton’s Stratton Brown 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 in the first round of the ITA Central Regional Singles Tournament • Went a perfect 3-0 in singles play over the course of the FGCU Invitational • Finished 3-0 in singles play during the 2019 Gopher Invitational, as well as 2-1 in doubles playing alongside fellow freshman Siim Troost.
PRIOR TO MINNESOTA:
Attended Sportska Gimnazija in Serbia • Has won the Serbian National Championship for the U12, U14, U16, and U18 age groups • Is also a senior National Champion for Serbia.
PERSONAL:
Son of Nenad and Maja Zarkovic • Lists winning his first ATP point as his most memorable sports accomplishment • Enjoys playing basketball in his free time • Has two siblings: Balsa and Simonida • Born June 1, 2000.
