2016-17 Sophomore Season: Tallied a first-place finish in the 200-yard back with a 2:08.35 at the Jean Freeman Invitational • earned fifth place in the 1000-yard free with a 10:37.84 against North Dakota • improved to 5:15.86 in the 500-yard free at the Minnesota Invitational • earned third place in the 1650-yard free with a 17:24.62 at the Jean Freeman Invitational • finished fifth place in the 500-yard free with a 5:07.80 at the Jean Freeman Invitational.
2015-16 Freshman Season: Named Hardest Worker • First-year letterwinner • At the 2016 Big Ten Championships, McDowell placed 38th in the 1650 free, 67th in the 500 free and 74th in the 200 free • Recorded eight top-five finishes during the regular season • Tallied personal records in the 500 free and 1650 free at the annual Jean Freeman Invite • Made her collegiate debut against Florida.
Personal: Born May 11, 1997 • Daughter of Michael McDowell and Kendall Morrison • Mother, Kendall, was a member of the Canadian Triathlon Team from 1989-1991 • Has one younger sibling, Blaire • Enjoys reading and traveling • Plans to major in physics.
