PRONUNCIATION
2018-19 Senior Season: Academic All-Big Ten • Took fourth in the 1000 free (10:33.43) and fifth in the 200 breast (2:22.09) at the Hawaii Dual. • Placed fifth in the 200 breast (2:23.65) at the Florida State Dual. • Finished fifth in the 1000 free (10:26.80) at the Wisconsin Dual.

2017-18 Junior Season: Finished sixth in the 400 IM (4:24.40) at the Minnesota Invitational • took fifth place in both the 1000-yard free (10:29.50) and in the 500-yard free (5:09.16) against the University of Iowa.

2016-17 Sophomore Season: Finished third place in the 400-yard IM with a 4:31.54 at the Jean Freeman Invitational • earned second place in the 400-yard IM at the Minnesota Challenge (4:37.61) • finished fifth place in the 200-yard IM at the Jean Freeman Invitational (2:08.33) • notched fifth place in the 200-yard breast at the Jean Freeman Invitational (2:24.34).  

2015-16 Freshman Season: First-year letterwinner • at the 2016 Big Ten Championships, Johnston recorded career best times to finish 40th in the 400 IM, 53rd in the 200 breast and 72nd in the 200 IM • tallied five top-five marks during the regular season • made her collegiate debut at Florida State.

High School: 2015 graduate of Rosemount High School • National Honor Society Member • National Spanish Honor Society • four-time Academic All-American • All-Academic Team • coached by Tami Carlson and Jake Kemna • named All-Conference four years in a row • All-State (2013) • All-American (2013) • member of the Junior National Team from 2013-2015 • two-season team captain • named Most Valuable Swimmer and Hardest Worker during her high school career • 200 IM and 100 breaststroke school record holder • NCSA Junior National Qualifier • Speedo Sectional Finalist • member of Blackline Aquatics from 2006-2015 • club coaches included John Barnes and Eva Kremer. 

Personal: Daughter of Dave and Mary Johnston • has one younger sister, Anna • majoring in biomedical engineering.
