DUENAS ADVANCES AT PENN FALL CLASSIC

round,University of Minnesota junior Jorge Duenas won his first two matches that Penn Fall Classic in Philadelphia, Pa., this afternoon. In the first round, Duenas defeated Brian Barki, 7-5, 6-3. He then went on to defeat Jackie Jenkins 6-4, 6-4.

Sophomore Karl Sloss lost his first round match, 6-1, 6-2 to Robert Chen of Dartmouth. Sloss went on to defeat Andy Kolker 6- 3, 3-6, 6-4 in the first round of the consolation bracket.

The other Golden Gopher competing was freshman Eric Robertson. Robertson dropped his first match to Northwestern's Josh Axler, 7-5, 6-4. He then lost his first round consolation match to Chris Chatham of Virginia, 6-4, 6-4.
