MEN'S TENNIS LOSES TO WASHINGTON; TOPS OREGON

At No. 1 singles, junior Tyson Parry defeated Joaquin Hamdan 6-4, 6-2. Also winning singles was sophomore Thomas Haug, who defeated Leslie Eisinga 6-2, 7-6 at the No. 3 position. Freshman Erik Robertson on his match at the No. 4 spot, 4-6, 6- 4, 6-2 over David Becker. Junior Jon Svensson and sophomore Karl Sloss also won singles matches.
Friday night Minnesota lost to Washington 6-3. Minnesota won two singles matches and just one doubles match to earn three team points, while Washington won four singles matches and two doubles. Haug defeated Marc Woolley 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 3 singles spot. Also winning his singles match was Svensson, who defeated Nick Quatrochi 6-2, 6-0. The doubles team of Robertson and Haug defeated Posavac and Berman 8-6.
