MEN'S TENNIS TEAM ELIMINATED AT BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Illinois won three singles matches and two of three doubles matches to collect four team points and the victory. No. 1 singles player Oliver Freelove defeated Minnesota senior Tom Chicoine 7-5, 6-3. At the No. 3 singles position, Illinois' Jeff Laski topped Minnesota freshman Thomas Haug 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. Also losing his match at No. 4 singles was senior Adam Selkirk, who dropped his match 7-5, 6-4 to Illinois' Jakub Teply.
The No. 1 doubles team of Chicoine and junior Martin Michalowski defeated Freelove and Cary Franklin 8-6. The other two doubles matches were won by Illinois.
