CHICOINE ELIMINATED FROM NCAA SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIPS

hisUniversity of Minnesota senior Tom Chicoine was eliminated from the NCAA Tennis Singles Championships this morning in Athens, Ga. Chicoine dropped his match 3-6, 7-6 6-4 to Stanford1s Ryan Wolters.

Chicoine, from Neenah, Wis., was unseeded heading into the NCAA Tournament, while Wolters was seeded ninth. He finishes his season at Minnesota with a 32-17 overall record, including a 114-65 career record, becoming the winningest player in Golden Gopher history.
