MANKAD TO REPRESENT INDIA IN DAVIS CUP

ThUniversity of Minnesota men's tennis player Harsh Mankad will compete for India in its Davis Cup qualifying-round match against the United States. The match has been rescheduled and will be held on October 12- 14 in Winston-Salem, N.C. The United States is 6-0 all-time against India.

The junior from Mumbai, India, is a two-time All-Big Ten selection for the Golden Gophers and is ranked 22nd in the nation in the preseason ITA singles rankings. Mankad will be joined on the team by Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi and Syed Fazaluddin.
