Zharinov Advances at ITA All-American Championships

Aleksey Zharinov and senior Thomas Haug each competetd in the round of 64, while Haug and Avery Ticer competed in the first round of doubles competition.

Junior Aleksey Zharinov advanced to the round of 32 defeating William Baker of Rice 7-5, 6-4. He will face Oliver Maiberger Friday. Meanwhile, Thomas Haug lost to Baylor's Benedikt Dorsch 2-6, 6- 4, 6-1. Haug will face Chris Lam of UCLA tomorrow in consolation competition.

In doubles play, Haug and Avery Ticer lost to Evan Austin and Karim Benmansour of Kentucky 8-4. They will face Ben Stapp and Lee Walker of Memphis Friday in the first round of consolation.
